1. Are you bonded and insured?
We carry a $4,000,000 general liability insurance policy. This cover you in the case of any damage to yoru property because of our services. A copy of our insurance policy will be provided to you upon request. We take extra precautions during our hiring process to ensure we hire honest employees.

2. How much do you charge?
Our charges are based on many different things including the size of your home and the frequency of your cleanings. In order to give you an accurate price, we will need to visit your home. If you would like to provide us with the information through our website, we will be happy to go over pricing with you via email or phone.

3. Can I get a quote without someone coming to my home?
If you would like a Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc. representative to call you to discuss the cost of cleaning yoru home, please fill out the Request Quote form on our website. Although this price will still be only an estimate, the information you provide will allow us to get a feel for your house without us actually going into your home. In most cases, this price will be accurate but, before your first cleaning, we will need to schedule a walk through of your home to go over any areas that may need extra attention as well as to provide you with additional information on our company.

4. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. You may also leave cash or check at the time of each cleaning.

5. When is my payment due?
For Pay-As-You-Go Customers: Payment is due at the time of the service in the form of cash or check. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you must use our form prior to the time we arrive at your home. If payment is not received at the time of service, a $10 billing fee will be added to your invoice. A $15 late fee will be added every 30 days until the bill is paid in full.

For Monthly BIlled Customer: Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice and becomes deliquent after 30 days. A $15 late fee will be added to every delinquent invoice with an additional $15 late fee added every 30 days until the bill is paid in full.

6. How many people will come clean my home?
OUr cleaning teams range in size from 2-3 people. We find that, for most homes, a team of two is the most efficient. For larger homes, we try to assign a three-person team.

7. Will the same people clean my home each time?
Once you decide to have Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc. clean you home on a regular basis, a cleaning team will be assigned to your home. This cleaning team will clean you home each time.

8. If I give you a key to my home, how is it safeguarded?
At Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc., we take the security of yoru home very seriously. All keys are assigned an alphanumeric code. Under no circumstances will your key ever be kept in the same place as your name or your address. This way, in the unlikely event that your key is misplaced, it will be useless to the person who finds it. In additino, the only employee we allow to have access to your key is the supervisor in charge of your cleaning team. When not in use, your key will be kept locked in a combination safe in our alarmed office. Only Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc.
executives have access to this safe.

9. Is there anything I need to do before each cleaning?
Because cleaning things from the floors and counters and putting away can be time consuming, especially if we do not know where they go, we ask taht you pick up as much as possible so that we have easy access to the areas you would like cleaned. Also, we will not assume anything is trash unless it is in a trash can. If "organizing" or "clutter control" is part of the cleaning services you have requested and has been factored into your cleaning price, all you need to do is make sure we know where everything goes.

10. Will I be charged for any cancellations?
We require a 24-hour notice of any cancellations, or rescheduling of your cleaning appointment. Otherwise, you will have to pay 50% of the price of the cleaning.

11. Do you provide all the cleaning supplies and equipment?
One of the many benefits of hiring a cleaning service is that you can now take cleaning supplies off your grocery list. If a cleaning service asks you to supply the cleaners, you should question whether or not they are a legitmate cleaning service. At Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc. we use personally safe and environmentally friendly products whenever possible. Although these products are more expensive, we feel that the health of our customers and our employees are more important than the extra profit. If you find that there is a certain product you would rather have us use in your home, please let us know and we will purchase that product for use on your home only. Unless the cost of this product is significantly more expensive than our regular cleaning products, the use of your requested product will not result in a price increase to clean your home.

12. How can I give feedback on my cleanings?
We love your comments. You can leave feedback on your cleaning service or a specific employees in a variety of ways. You may contact us by phone 1-888-660-MAID, email us at lamorindamaid@msn.com or through our contact us webpage. You may even write us directly at P.O. Box 1458, Lafayette, California 94549.

15. When will I see the customer referral credit on my bill?

If you are a pay-as -you-go customer, a gift certfiicate will be mailed to you on the date of the new customer's fourth cleaning. This gift certificate has no expiration date and may be transferred to any other person who lives in our service area.

16. What is the difference between the first cleaning and all subsequent cleanigns? Why is it necessary? Why does it cost more?
Our first cleaning visit is more like spring cleaning or perhaps "catch-up" cleaning. Before we can begin regularly scheduled cleaning of a home, there are a variety of first -time tasks that require extra time and effort. There's a big difference between "old" dirt and "new" dirt. If we don't get rid of the old dirt, no matter how hard we try, simply removing new dirt isn't going to make you home sparkling. It's not uncommon for us to spend from 2-3 times longer on a first-time clean than it takes us on a regular, repeat maintenance visits.

Throughout the house: when dust settles on any surface, the humidity in the air caused the dust to stick to each other and to the surface it is resting on. For first-time and deep cleanings, all surfaces will have to be wiped clean with an all-purpose cleaner or furniture polish and not just dusted with a feather duster. Bookshelves, baseboards, and window sills are also prime candidates for long periods of neglect and may require extra, initial "TLC."

In the kitchen: kitchen cabinets, counter tops and appliances usually require extra attention on our first visit. Grease, fingerprints and other dirt seem to make their way through everyone's home and gravitate toward the kitchen. It doesn't take long for kitchen dust to become impregnated with grease, which is more difficult and time-consuming to clean than a week's worth of ordinary surface dirt.

In the bathrooms: if we don't spend the extra time and effort to get the shower doors and tracks, shower, walls, bathtub surfaces, plumbing fixtures and floors thoroughly cleaned on the first visit, these objects won't look really clean no matter how often we visit.

17. Do I need to lock up my perts before you come?
Dogs, even the most well-behaved dogs, can be very dangerous to a "stanger" who comes into your home when you are not there. If there is any chance that your dog may show aggression to your housecleaners, we ask that the dog be locked in a crate, in a room that is not being cleaned, or we can put the dog in your backyard while we are cleaning.

18. What happens if my scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday?
Lamorinda Maid & Cleaning Services, Inc. observes the following holidays and our office is closed:
Martin Luther King
President's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day

If your cleaning falls on one of these holidays, we will contact you to reschedule your cleaning. In most cases, we will perform the cleaning on the day before or the day after the holiday.
